![]() ![]() I want to avoid skipping mole pits if that wasn't something that was intended, you know? I suppose I just need to do slide-jumping frequently. Turtle Woods is done, but I'm still struggling on The Pits. Then a bit later, I box-bounced across the other mud sections. While I didn't do the slide-jump with spin for extended air, I actually slid-jump the closest to the mud/water that I could so that if I land in the mud, a single jump is only needed to get fully across it. Thanks for the strats! I did basically a combination of running with slide-jumping. I used the same kind of strategy for the pits, it was close and I didnt take note of the time but it was within gold. I ended up getting 52.86 for that trial just now and that was with me messing up on the second bed of water slowing me down. Personally I didn't do that and was just running and spamming the spin and it worked out fine. I think the moles popping up have a fixed location they popup each time, so if you can remember where that is you can catch them right when they appear so no time is wasted. When I did this with the right timing I went well over 95% of the water that would otherwise slow me down and barely had to short hop out to reach try land. What you can do to shave off some time in turtle woods is run+ slide jump and then spin over the first path of water. Start destroying the crates and move past the moving turtles. ![]() Crash will move the plate and use it to travel to the bonus area. To begin the bonus stage, stand inside the circle and perform a belly flop (jump and press Circle when in air). Are you running + slide jumping? I always do that and unless I make a huge mistake, that method got me at least gold for every trial. This object serves as an entrance to one of two bonus areas in this level. I wanted to retry the trials again before I gave some advice. Originally posted by EmperorReptile:Sorry for the slow reply. It shaves a boatload of time off and you can still get away with gold if you made slight mistakes before hand and skip over all the mole hills. If you still see yourself falling a bit short each time it would be worth getting used to running+slide jump spin over the mole pits. It's the same from the originals, you need to dash and jump to catch all crates at Turtle Woods, to avoid the box, jump over the 5-pound crate, and yes,you need the green to complete, or.
